Cars are not supposed to burn up. They just arent. Ever. Never. Ever. What THE FUCK???? So, I follow my girlfriend up to Queensbury to get her radiator fixed or replaced yesterday, depending on what was needed. We drop it off fine. They call her today, they have to replace the radiator. 500 bucks. Okay, expensive, but probably necessary. Fine. I drive her up there to pick it up and you would just automatically assume okay, everythings fine now. My radiator won't leak, I'll be set. Its a volvo 740 turbo in case your wondering. Volvo's are solid. THEY DONT BURN UP. So we are driving down the road and next thing you know I notice that there are some sparks under neath. NOT GOOD. Finally I wave her to pull over on I-87, the engine in smoking, there are sparks on the ground.. ETC. FUCK. So, it gets more smokey. She's not in the car at this point. More SMOKEY. Then we are like shit, we tried calling the place we just payed 500 bucks to, to tell them they fucked up. I call 911 and say, my girlfriends car is ON FIRE. Send the fire truck, "Do you see flames?" Now I do. The fucking thing is on fire. First reponse people get there try to put it out with a fire extenguisher. Right. No. Cop comes. Nice cop. The thing is totally burning up now. Not just like a candle or anything. The whole front end is ENGULFED with flames. My god! What the fuck? Cars are not supposed to burn. Ever. Especially ones that just got work done on them, they are supposed to be fixed. Needless to say, the thing is toast. The car is destroyed, done for. I have faith that things will work out. It really really sucks. There is no, it could have been worst. Don't think about that. It was THE WORST. One minute your writing reminders about needing inspections, the next your car is gone. Done for. Thank you to those three nice guys who pulled over to help, the very nice cop Bowens, the very nice firemen, and anyone else that helped my girlfriend and I out on the side of I-87 around 6:45 on April 17th, 2003. That was fucked up and not right. It is safe to assume the people who "installed" her new radiator are to blame. Can I prove it right now? I don't know. The thing was fine yesterday and now its all burnt the fuck up. (I apologizing for how many f-bombs are in this post, but I find it necessary for venting purposes). We are going to seek legal advice and find out what can be done about this situation. All that matters is that she is safe. She is safe, just very freeked out. It's times like these that help me remember all the good things. Yes, I am a light-hearted person and like to have fun and make jokes. But damn dude, CARS DON'T FUCKING BURN Up. Thanks for listening, i'm done for now.
