The Olsen Twins
Lately I've been able to reference a lot of things in real life to the Olsen twins. I like to refer to my buddy Kevin and I at work as the Olsen twins. Although I don't really consider ourselves the stars of this show necessarilly. I feel that we were just at a point where like the Olsens, after the first season of Full House their contract had to be negogiated because it wasn't Full House without them so basically they had to pay the Olsen Twins a helluvalot more cash to get them to come back.. I guess the difference is Kevin and I didn't demand contract negotiations a la the Olsen Twins. But someday I'd like to be even 5 percent as rich as these two little kids...
On a separate note, I fear that they will someday take over the world -- There's basically nothing that can stop them. They could basically buy Brazi right now.

july fest
just got back from july fest --- had an awesome time.. was a great warm up to next weekend. lot less people, and opposite price of entry (was free -- albeit small donations).. some great bands played that I got to check out..Mystical Steerhead Faction, Cliff Street, Icub & Hachu, Slinky Tripp, Concentric, and REZI.. camped out all weekend, went into town saturday and just partied it up.. everything but the stoner midday sun headache was great -- oh yeah, i also picked up some talkabouts so ya'll better witchiiigiii watchhh out .. hung out with packy who was coincidentally in saratoga today when i returned

TV
I realized this last night while I was standing on my porch looking around. I saw bedrooms lite up by TV's constantly changing colors and images -- you know, the stuff that makes people crazy and I came up with this. I think without TV, people would get into a lot more trouble. If those people didn't have TV to keep their minds occupied at night, they could potentially find themselves out cruising around at night getting into trouble. True, there are many things to do that don't lead to trouble... But think about the odds. If TV did not exist a lot more bad things would happen. Of course someone could easily argue the opposite point of view, if TV did not exist the mind would probably be a lot less corrupted.. I'll keep thinking about it some.. But it's interesting to point.

My Knee
I twisted the shit cup a few weekends ago at the Casey's BBQ on the last play of the volleyball game.. I went up to block and feel like I came down on somebodies leg or something.. Not sure.. but I layed there on the ground a minute, got up and managed to hit the ball out of bounds or something causing our team to lose.. It hurt then, I walked it off.. Could not run.. and it acts up every now and then.. I think its just a strain or something and it should work itself out.. If it was a tear I can't imagine i'd even be able to walk.. Anyway, I'm just a little limber.. and it hurts a little bit.. My knee is the last thing I want to mess up. My dad's knee has a screw in it cause he got in a bad wreck fallin asleep at the wheel 25+ years ago, so he can't run really or even bend his knee.. I got to protect mine as if they are the last Smith family knees..

PHP/MySQL
I'm doing.. I'm going to sit down with my new friend and it's going to teach me some stuff...
This will help me tremendously... Once I learn everything I need to know about PHP I will be able to automate all of my web adding processes... So in other words.. the future of my site is in development for a while... I've got big plans.. Once this project is complete, which could be quite a long time depending on how it goes..The site will be totally kick ass, and everything will be quick as shit.. to update, to add, to edit.. to everything.. It's exciting... but it's going to take a lot of work that I frankly do not have time for. So I need to make time for it... Sleep
So last night I got to bed around ELEVEN, first time in ages I remember that I got to bed before midnight, 1, or 2 am.. and ya know what.. I honestly don't think it makes a difference (true, one night of 8 hours of sleep does not make up for several months of five hours...but)... I feel the same as if I went to bed at 2... Granted in general, I need to work on getting more sleep every night.. But what up? I thought i'd feel better.. It's going to be a late night tonight.. definately will not sleep until at least three AM.. will then have to wake up by 7.. shitty.. oh well. it will be all worth it.

Insane
So.. we believe we've taken care of all of these items that need addressing...but now the issue is somehow we have to get through 167 pages of detailed testing scenarios to make sure everything works. One minute I think i'm going to be able to follow through on our planned in advance plans to go camping, the next I know it's not going to happen. My girlfriend hates me cause I always have to work. I hate it to. My worth is not outweighing my value and thats starting to dig into my side. What can I do? I can't sit around and talk about what's going on. We are low on resources and have no time to deal.. Shit has to get done... STOP talking about and get it done.. damn!

I don't know what I ate or what I did.. but I'm not going to talk about this any longer... So we got this project almost done.. All issues / bugs / modifications / needs / desires have been addressed and the database is currently in testing. Tomorrow we need to go through and make sure there aren't any problems. Most of the problems reported are probably just setup issues which matter, but don't matter. What else is going down?
Tomorrow night -- the rezi -- is coming to town and will be sure to rock out Saratoga til the wee hours of the night. I gave them a setlist, maybe they'll use it.. That would be fatty. I can't wait to go see phish in a couple weeks. It's almost time.

After many long nights at the office resolving a multitude of issues regarding a database, I finally was able to rectify all issues, have q/a people verify this, and then deliver the database to the client... The email she has been waiting for, and waiting, and waiting, for almost a month. Nancy, I apologize it took that long, I apologize the original developers screwed up so bad... but I'm confident it won't have any issues any longer... (and I hope)...

I listened to a rough early mp3 mix of this album about three months before it came out. I liked it. Now I have the actual CD and since the time when I first started listening to it until now it has really grown on me. I really dig it. The CD just sounds good from beginning to end. It's got a little bit of everything and it has the harder edge (harder compared to stuff like the beatles, grateful dead) that I've been getting into lately. Including the heavy electronica sounds that get me going. I'm not a huge Radiohead fan, I can tell from time I will become an even bigger fan, but even if you don't know any Radiohead material I still recommend this album. I uhh, hmmm...
So, I open up Grant's test script (i really have to talk about something else here).. and its full of red marks. Testing scenarios in which things are not working right, or not exactly correctly. Okay, so I spend a lot of time going through and fixing these issues... getting them straightened out... disallow certain scenarios, allow other scenarios... get it going.. its going good... then i get them all resolved and I have two more test results to look at... okay, its 1 AM i'll be here a little longer. I open the first one... no comments, all pass marks, and a note that says "After thorough testing, issues seem to be resolved.".. I remember during testing, they would come across things, I would make fix, and tell them why it was happening, and also saying.. make a note, just make a note... these notes are used to ensure that the issue was fixed/resolved.. where are these notes? both scripts say everything passes... What did Grant find then? a mystery.. maybe its because there really only was that 1 little issue. It was a big issue, but could happen rarely.. anyway thats takin care of, this lady will be so happy to receive the best version of this shit ever... sucky we couldnt get it to her RIGHT the first time...

Bug Free
Managers sit around camp fires discussing BUG FREE software while developers huddle around bugs punching them down while new ones pop up. I don't want to ever say that removing every single minute Bug from software is impossible, but the truth of the matter is... it's not possible. Whatever. To some degree you can remove bugs, but then future events unplanned can cause them to appear. Sometimes it feels like a losing battle.. but the battle must continue. BAH!
