An NBA source told ESPN.com's Bill Simmons that the Celtics have dealt Chris Mihm (in a sign-and-trade), guards Marcus Banks and Chucky Atkins and a future second-round pick to Los Angeles for Payton, Rick Fox and a lottery-protected first-round draft pick.

Alright so now what are we looking at?

a great lose lose trade. What do the celtics get? Cap relief (but not enough) and some open roster spots. oh, did i mention the pretty, great-haired Rick Fox.

always good to have a canuck on your team. too bad the pick is lottery protected. We could use the now certain lottery pick next year. (side note, lottery bound because you are in the west, top 5 still if in the east, oh well)
 
oh ya, getting atkins give kobe the type of pass-first point guard he wanted (As opposed to gary).

banks is a super fast guy. you watch him and you will be in awe, the first time at least. if kibe wants to run, marcus can do that with him.
